For 2026, the Kentucky Summer Horse Trials has been expanded to include the US Pony Club Festival Eventing Championships. US Pony Club competitors will be incorporated into divisions with non-USPC competitors and will be recognized with Pony Club placings and awards in addition to the Summer Horse Trials prizes. Stabling
(For NON-PONY CLUB entries):Thursday - Sunday - $250;Arrivals
before Thursday or departures after Sunday MUST be requested in advance and the
$75 layover fee paid before receiving packet. Non-stabled
ship-in fee for duration of event: $60
PONY CLUB participants MUST stable, and the fee is included in your entry; stabling will be in Barns C or D. Late entry fee: $100 (check with
show secretary for availability). Refunds: Before C.D.- Full amount less $25
non-refundable office fee; After C.D. -no refund. All withdrawals must be in
writing & emailed before 8:00 pm of C.D. Competition cancellation-No
refund. REFUNDS for entries up to closing date via EVENT ENTRIES are refunded
weekly and will be refunded directly to the credit card used to enter. If
entered via Xentry, REFUNDs will be issued by check following the competition.
USEA Starter/USEF D&M Fee: For any competitor who does not start the
dressage test, the USEA Starter fee ($35) and the USEF D & M fee ($8 for
Modified and above) shall be returned within 30 days of the competition. NOTE:

USEAcurrent membership(Junior, Collegiate, Full, or Life) and horse registration (Limited or Full) are required at all levels except Starter.PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ONLINE COGGINS IS UPDATED AND VALID THROUGH SHOW DATES. Health papers within 30 days should travel with horses.
Changes made after FRIDAY, JULY 10TH: including horse/rider substitutions, change of level, or other changes: $50 - subject to available space.

Awards
Prizes and 8 ribbons per division. We are a TIP registered event and will have awards at all levels! Be sure to include your horse's TIP number with your entry. Additionally, PONY CLUB competitors will receive US Pony Club Festival Championship prizes and are expected to participate in the awards presentations.
Stabling/Veterinarian
$250 a stall for NON-PONY CLUB entries Thursday through Sunday. Tack stall fees are the same as regular stalls. All stabling will be in the Rolex Tent Stalls. 400 stalls available. Stall doors provided. If not stabled on grounds, must pay ship-in fee of $60 which applies for the duration of the event.
PONY CLUB competitors will be stabled in Barns C & D, and stall fees are included in the entry fee.
NOTE:Groups wishing to stable together must use the same group/farm name on stable forms. This is the only way to ensure you are stabled together. Any stable forms with no ‘stable with’ requests will be stabled at show secretary’s discretion. PONY CLUB competitors may find stabling assignments and team information on the USPC Festival (link: https://www.ponyclub.org/events/festival) page. Per Horse Park:You will be charged an extra night if you set up your stall the night before horse arrival. Buckets empty and shavings may be in stall but buckets not hung. There will be a $75 charge for use of an unauthorized stall. Stall assignments will be posted on the evententries website by the evening of July 14th.

Cross-Country

M-2600-2800m @ 490mpm.T-2200-2600m @ 450 mpm.N-1800-2100m @ 400 mpm.BN-1700-1900m @ 350 mpm.Starter: 1400-1600m, max height 2'3"@ 250 mpm (speed faults at 350 mpm). Terrain: Open, rolling Bluegrass. All courses: Moderate difficulty, fences to height/spread with technical questions for level. Suitable for horses with some experience at their level. Be prepared to see most questions suitable for each level. Distances and speeds are weather dependent. Cross-country course closed.
Other Information
Intermediate, Preliminary and potentially Modified/Training Dressage will be held in the Rolex Stadium.
All other Dressage will be held in the Annex Rings.
Show Jumping will be in the Walnut Ring.

EV114 Dress 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At all levels of eventing competition, from beginner novice through advanced, at Federation Endorsed competitions and recognized competitions, riders must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801): b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted.
“Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith”.

3) As a reminder, GR1101.10 becomes effective December 1, 2026. All horses competing at Federation Licensed and Endorsed competitions must provide a microchip number that verifies the animal. A microchip used to verify the identity must be a fifteen-digit ISO compliant 11784/11785 chip and implanted in the nuchal ligament of the horse. Not required for horses competing at the Starter level.
