The Waredaca Eventing Education Foundation (WEEF) presents the Jimmy Wofford Legacy Fund Scholarship, a nation-wide opportunity for financial support to pursue Classic Three-Day Events at each venue in the U.S.!

This year, on Sept. 6–7, the Five Points Horse Trials at the Carolina Horse Park in Raeford, North Carolina, will offer something eventers in the Southeast haven’t seen in years: long-format divisions.

The first USEA Classic Series event of 2025 was held at the IEA Horse Trials in Edinburgh, Indiana, from May 30-June 1. We caught up with some of the winners to learn more about their weekends!

Conditioning plans can vary from 12 weeks down to four weeks. The most important thing is to remember that the plan should fit the horse and rider, not vice versa. There are general templates but all schedules will look different and should be tailored to you and your horse’s specific needs.
