Back To School: 3 Easy Ways to Keep Learning This Fall

Remember how the start of a new school year always made you want to learn something new? Maybe it was the fresh clean notebooks. Maybe it was the new day planner.
Either way, it seems like the shift over to September always has a way of making everything feel possible.
Here are three ways to tap into that new school year energy now to keep the learning going:
1. Find A Fall Schooling Show To Ride In
A low-pressure dressage or jumper show is a great place to refine and practice what you worked over the summer.

2. Find a Clinic to Ride or Audit

3. Watch A Recognized Competition - A Jumper Show Or Dressage Show.
Take an afternoon to just observe how other disciplines approach the phase. You can learn a lot without actually riding. At a jumper show, watch the turns, balance, and approach. See how the fastest riders save time without having rails.
At a dressage show, watch your favorite riders warm-up, their entrance, transitions and test. What was their entrance like? How did they handle the salute?
Then take those observations home with you. What did they do that you can incorporate to get some extra points on?
You may not be back in the actual classroom, but September is the perfect time to keep learning. So pick a goal, try something new, and make the most of your fall season!
