The United States Eventing Association, Inc. (USEA) IT team has been working diligently since the end of the 2025 competition season to bring a multitude of updates to the Association’s event management system, ShowConnect. The last year has been transformational for the platform, with major improvements and new competition partners coming on board, but it is just the beginning of the growth of this exciting option for Event Organizers and competitors alike.

New Features

Horse Profiles Now Include Microchip Details

As of Dec. 1, 2025, all horses competing in USEF-licensed or -endorsed competitions must be microchipped with a 15-digit ISO compliant 11784/11785 chip. To ensure ease of reporting, ShowConnect has been updated to accommodate the collection and validation of microchip numbers.

    • Horse records can now include a microchip number when they are created or updated.
    • Microchip numbers are checked for accuracy to help reduce entry mistakes and improve record quality.
    • Microchip details can also be included in pre-show and post-show reports, giving organizers and staff easier access to complete horse information when needed

Built-In Number Verification for People and Horses

In 2026, all entry information will be validated against the USEF and FEI databases, allowing for seamless data reporting and accurate records. The system can now verify important registration and membership numbers for riders, trainers, owners, and horses. This helps catch errors earlier, reduces manual follow-up, and improves confidence in the accuracy of entry records.

    Electronic Signatures

Electronic signature tools are now available within entry management, making it much easier to collect required signatures digitally. This is a major improvement for events that need to complete missing signatures outside of XEntry.

Event staff can send a missing signature request with a single click through ShowConnect. This reduces paperwork, expedites follow-up, and gives organizers a more flexible way to complete required documentation without relying on printed forms or in-person handling.

    More Flexible Event Scheduling

The ShowConnect scheduling engine now supports a wider range of event formats, including clinics and dressage events. This gives organizers more flexibility to manage different styles of programming within one system instead of relying on separate tools or workarounds. It also creates a stronger foundation for events that go beyond traditional competition formats.

      Stronger Conflict Management Tools

The Conflict page now works with the newer scheduling experience. Organizers can review scheduling conflicts more clearly and use shift and swap tools to make changes more quickly. This makes it easier to solve schedule issues before they affect riders, staff, or the flow of the event.

New Public Links for Event Materials

Organizers can now add links for:

        • Program packets
        • Stabling maps
        • Course maps

These links appear on the event's listing on the ShowConnect Calendar, making it easier for participants, families, and spectators to find important event materials without separate emails or printed handouts.

            New Printing Options

A new Entry Form print option has been added to the platform, allowing organizers to generate a current entry form on demand as a PDF. This is especially useful when changes have been made after the original submission, since staff can print the latest version of the entry details whenever needed.

A new Invoice Form print option was added as well to make it easier to generate an updated invoice that reflects current fees, changes, or adjustments.
Together, these tools make it easier to provide accurate paperwork at any stage of the event process.

            New Reports for Scheduling

A new Ride Time Report is now available to accommodate Phases A, B, C, and D at a Classic Series Event. A new Order of Go report was also built for the newer scheduling tools.

            Scheduling Warning Indicators

When secretaries are working on event scheduling, warning icons will now appear in the scheduling area to help them spot schedule mismatches more quickly. This reduces the risk of avoidable scheduling problems.

            Changes

Faster and More Flexible Entry Management

Entry management and stabling pages now load more efficiently on an event-by-event basis. In addition, ride times are now supported across both older and newer scheduling formats. Export tools were updated to work with both scheduling approaches, and ride times can now include seconds where needed, which is especially useful for tighter scheduling formats. Similarly to the updated scheduling reports, ShowConnect now supports Phase A, B, and C ride times for Classic Series Events. Overall performance has been improved as well, so staff can move faster during busy event operations.

            Easier Ride Time Editing

Entry details will now show ride times for both older and newer scheduling formats. Ride times can now be edited or removed through a popup window. The page layout was also cleaned up to make scheduling tools easier to find and use.

            Scheduling Experience Improvements

In addition to the updated entry support, the scheduling module now supports both older and newer scheduling systems. When you enter a new event, the divisions will be collapsed by default to make larger schedules easier to review.

There is now added support for 30-second ride times in both display and editing to help make it easier for secretaries to accommodate tight schedules. Ride time editing and saving are now more accurate, and descriptive break information will be displayed directly in the Scheduler Module, helping staff see the full flow of the day more clearly.

Clinic scheduling for educational activities and clinic reporting is one of the newest features in the scheduling module. These updates make the scheduling experience more adaptable for organizers running different kinds of events.

            Better Public Schedule Visibility

Public entry lists now display Phase A, B, and C ride times for Classic Series Events, and they include updated letter codes in scoring details and phase-specific views. This gives riders, owners, and spectators a more complete and useful view of the event schedule and results.

            Better Reports and Labels

Packet labels, check-in reports, and dressage labels are now able to display show ride times with seconds when enabled. Reporting also works more consistently across both older and newer event setups. Time zone text was removed from certain screen displays to make the information easier to read and less distracting for users.

            Ride Time Report Improvements

Ride time reports now show break intervals and support multi-day schedules more effectively. Grouping, open slot visibility, export layout, and the print behavior have been improved. These updates make the reports easier to use for both planning and day-of-event operations.

            Navigation and Menu Updates

The draw menu item is now labeled "Draw / Waitlist." The import menu item has updated wording and a refreshed icon, making navigation clearer and better reflects how the tools are used.

            Smarter Scheduling Logic

Cross-Country scheduling was improved, so related divisions can be handled more smoothly when paired levels, like Advanced/Intermediate, Intermediate/Preliminary, etc., are offered.

            Dressage Test Cleanup

Out of date dressage tests have been marked inactive to help keep the active test list cleaner and easier for event staff to manage.

            Key Takeaways

This release strengthens ShowConnect as a more flexible event management platform, with better scheduling tools, easier digital paperwork, improved public access to event information, more useful reporting and printing options, and a smoother experience for organizers managing a wide range of event types.
